Poll: Are you pleased with the new 450R?

why all this? it wont be out till next year.
saying its better from a picture is stupid. thats like judging women by cruising the mall.
for the Yam folks: if it's slower, they'll tout 'reliability' again.
for the Hon folks: if it's slower, it's still a step up from the 400 ex, and you can work on it.
I'm sure Dirt wheels has already completed a shootout without ever sitting their butts on one. Seems to me that's how they work!
relax and enjoy what you have! Remember, you cant win an argument on the internet.

i say yes.
they gave what we where asking for a crf450 motor in a quad. they couldnt add in all the fancy stuff or the average user wouldn't buy it!.
hell all i keep reading is how pricey the yamaha 450 is. anything over $6500.00 they would stop selling quads as fast as they like to.
but the yammi does offer a little more for the same price. so its going to be a close one.

No, absolutely not! Honda cheaped out totally. The carb sucks, it has the worst starting system possible to put on a quad(FORWARD kick!), they used 400ex a-arms(what's up with that?), and they used a 400ex frame. The frame from a 400ex can be upgraded so much, that they should've built a totally different, better one. I went out and bought two new YFZ's the day after the honda came out, because they are better.

HELLO!!!!!!!
The 450R DOESN'T use the same old 400ex frame and a-arms. It's not the same axle or swing arm either.
It's wider than a 400ex and a inch wider than a YZF with a 1 inch shorter wheelbase than the YZF.
It's intended for advanced riders 16+ otherwise big enough to kick it over and lift it up and turn it around if need be.
Will it be the better than a YZF power wise!! I think it will be very close this year but next year when the YZF is a full 450cc the Yamaha will be the better quad power wise.
Handling both will be about the same.
Realiablity and toughness Honda hands down and for that reason I would buy the Honda I have lots of seat time on all the other brands but for my style of riding I bought a TLD Predator and I will trade it for the new 450R cause the parts list for my Predator is crazy and I'd much rather be riding everyother day instead of replacing worn out parts.
