Default Help with port and polished cylinder PLEASE???

If I get a port and polished cylinder for my 86 quadracer, can I swap my old cylinder for this one without changing anything else? I know I would have to get a size piston to match the bore on the cylinder. Does anyone know how to tell what the bore size is on a cylinder using a standard tape measure or any other method??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Also anything in particular to look for when buying a port and polished cylinder used?

I would recommend you get your cylinder ported instead of buying a different one. That way it can be ported to your style and you know the cylinder is still good. Check around, it'll probably only take $300 to $400 I would guess.

Thanks Joel, I'm only asking because there are a couple on ebay one starts at 70.00 and supposedly has 600 dollars worth of work on it another starts at 50 and you could "buy it now" for 180.00, what do you think about this? Sounds like some awesome deals to me but just want to know what I'm getting into.

I guess for $100 you can't go wrong. Give one a try!
