I like the Sparks pipe too but I dont see that much difference between the two other than the CT uses the disc type where sparks uses the open center end cap.

Check out Graydon Proline and Power Pros too. Power Pros is the manufacturer of Graydon and CT also. I've had a Sparks X-4 and X-6 and a Graydon Proline X-6 equivalent. I could tell NO difference in the Graydon and the Sparks. In fact, I think Power Pros designs the Sparks pipes cuz they are identical to the Graydon.

Bottom line, what ever is cheaper is probably the better deal.

Sparks is awesome, I know a few people around ehre that have them on their 400ex's, and they will scoot. Dont forget about LRD, a lil cheaper than the Sparks system, but basically the same build, almost identical. If you get the Sparks and dont have a 440 kit dont get the X6. Its made for more top end because the 440 has more bottom end. If you have stock bore or just a 408 or somthing similiar, I would go with the X4.

Good point and basicaly what I was getting at. I am not sure who makes all the different pipes but I have been told there are only a few companies making most all of them.

I do know that when I look at most of the reverse meg cylindrical (round) silencers I see a strong resemblance to the supertrapp 4" system with different end caps. The CT looks like the exact same thing period.

What I do like about the Graydon you mention is that its a $200.00 slip on v/s a 480.00 full system and the 400ex will not see much benefit from the full system over the slip on unless it has a fully modded engine designed for taking advantage of any higher rpm HP. TC racing doesnt seem to even believe there is an advantage at all and stands behind the idea of this engines need to make torque in the lower (especially) to high rpms even on even the 500cc+ engines and recomends a slip on only, and this guys engines makes some serious HP.

Anyone have a used Graydon for sale cheap?????????
