best 250r year?

Default best 250r year?
what year was the best.. i heard 86 and 87.. and how much should i expect to pay for one in puff shape... my buddy is gettin an 87 in great shape for 2200 with a pipe.

For handleing and lightness and such the 88-89 are beter but for being steardy the 86-87... and yes that is average and if its in good condition a good deal.
