Default K and M filter advise for a 250ex

therushnkid, no offense but just to let you know , I'm not posting on the forum really often anymore but anytime I login, I read your stupid reply. First, Don't tell somebody which quad to buy and Second, STFU when you don't even own one ! I'm also 15 and people listen to me since I'm not always saying stupid and useless comments. NO OFFENSE

And Kyperman, for you question, I was going to answer but reconranger said everything that was needed to be said.

Yes you will probably need to richen up your main jet in most cases cuz yah you are getting more airflow. If i was you, i would just install it and then run it. Just check the plug every now and then, it should be tannish brown. Also, you will know your lean if it ever backfires or wants to stall on you. I know a couple ppl that have installed a k & n and didnt have to rejet. I know you have a 250ex but some pipes even for the DS such as pro-circuit say you dont even have to rejet (for some reason).

Holland, Mi hey. I was down there for a couple days last summer, it definetly gets hotter down there then here (the up). Looks like a nice play to live tho. I saw alot of nice rice burners down there.. lol.

A good double foam filter like Uni breathes very nearly as well as K&N, and keeps fine dust out of your cylinder. More particles get through a K&N, shortening engine life. Outerwears makes a fabric airbox lid replacement for the 250ex. We run that, and it woke up our ex noticeably. Then you just keep the foam filter clean, and take the factory airbox lid with you if you want to ride in deep water. Had to rejet because more air leaned the mix.
Can't explain it any better than that! Save your money buy a UNI.
