if you are that concerned with winning and reverse just go get a suzuki. with all the mods you would have to do to the 300 you would save money

i came across a site that built a 300ex to beat a stock 400ex.......(i think)
not smoke it,but bearly beat it......

bore kit, carb, cam, gears, and some other stuff.........

heres the thing, i also wanted to have an old 300ex that would beat my friends 400, so after i blew the engine i took it in to be rebuilt. the guy i took it to had it for about two months and gave me a bill of about $1400 in parts and $1000 in labor and the pile is alot better than stock, but my friend still waists me on a small drag and top end... i need to gear it right and break it in all the way, but unless you got someone who really knows what they are doing with your motor, you wont beat him. YOU NEED MORE THAN A PIPE AND JET KIT![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

 

If that's the case with a 300ex vs a 400ex, I'll definately ditch my idea for the 300ex and get a Suzuki Z400. I may post a thread in the sport quad forum because I have a question concerning the sports quads. I drove my friend's 400ex and loved the power and I know getting something with less power is stupid.
