If the 400ex will not start
#4
yes,,,,,,,as a matter of fact, I try to "pop" start my bike whenever I have the chance. I normally stop on downhill slopes to take a trail break, and I always point the bike in a direction which allows me to start up & leave at a moments notice. your 400 will easily start in second gear on a slight slope. no sense wearing out a starter when well all ride up & down hills
