what is the fastest year for the 250r from the factory? i've herd the 86 was but someone else said 8 9and was wonderin who was true.

The 86 is supposed to rev quicker and the 87-89 have more tourque and a smoother power band. In terms of faster, if you have more torque and you are racing in sand, the 87-89 will be faster. If you are racing on pavement the 86 might be faster.

Honestly, the difference is minimal.
