250R pipe

I'll just add my $.02. I have an FMF Fatty and have been very happy with the performance, fit and finish of it. Most of my group uses the same. Lots of power off the bottom-end and pulls hard through the mid-range. I haven't really noticed a considerable drop-off on top-end from my old pipe.
If cost is a factor, you can get a Fatty at Recreation Unlimited for $169. I can't quote you any other price.
Also, I haven't heard anything bad about any of the other pipes mentioned here in this thread, only the good stuff. I'm just telling you what has worked well for me.

i also went from the FMF(i hated that gold color too) to a LRD adjustable, i thought there is a big difference especially in the topend, i did do a few other mods the same time i changed the pipe,so kinda hard to tell exactly how much i gained from just the pipe, ive never tried a ct pipe

For woods I would go with the Paul Turner midrange. Why don't you go check out GT Thunder's web pagefor a dyno curve of all the pipes in question. If you are going to be doing any open roads riding I would opt for a CT or FMF Fatty pipe because the Paul Turner doesn't rev out well. The CT has a little more bottom and stronger mid than the fatty(slightly) and the Fatty revs out better. The Bills pipe has the most low end of all but really hits a little too hard and is only good for MX. Check out that site it is very informative.

Save your money and use the stock pipe with a
aftermarket silencer. With the stock porting I
have tried a turner 6 and a fmf and the only
thing that I noticed they moved the power around.
I've owned five different 250Rs since 1989 and
for trail riding ,climbing rock ledges and tight technical sections the stock pipe is hard to beat.
