I have an old 86 Honda TRX350. It has been nothing but a headache since i bought it but i have too much into to sell it now. So I took the kids out for a quick run this weekend just touring around slow. On the way home it dies. No big problem, i thought. It starts again just fine and i let it idle along just to be sure. The instant i put it in gear it dies. Just like i hit the kill switch. I try it numerous times, same result. So i walked home, got my truck and a neighbor to help. By the time i got back and started it, it seemed to work fine so the neighbor drove it home. Just before my driveway it dies again. Same thing.

So anyone heard of this problem. When warm idles fine but when placed in gear dies like you hit the kill switch? When it cools down, no problems untill it gets warm (not hot, just warm) again.

 

Sounds like your clutch is needs to be looked at.
