there was a shoot out in one of the mags about a year ago and the blaster won that, but price was a big factor.

Default Blaster V.S 300ex

I'm telling you guys. A blaster is faster, and this is coming from a 300ex owner. The blaster is a 2 stroke 200 that weighs about 325 while the 300ex is a 282 4 stroke that weighs about 375. The facts just show that a blaster is faster

There is more to consider than just weight and displacement. There is also gearing ratios. Two-strokes don't give out as much torque as a four-stroke so the four stroke can pull wider gear ratios while the 2-stroke can't. The blaster revs high most of the time because going from one gear to another isn't a huge jump which allows it to stay in it's powerband.

blaster but 300ex will always win NO MATTER WHAT, it is way more reliable!

my 250x has beat a few blasters, but its not stock. dont know about the blasters, but i have a filter, jets, and pipe. nothing fancy just normal upgrades. dont forget about the riders ability factor.

Default Blaster V.S 300ex

I have a loaded 02 300ex and my friend just bought a 99 blaster with all of the same upgrades/addons. It wasn't even a race, the 300ex blew it away. SINCE he just bought the bike we trades bikes... i was on the blaster, the 300ex still won.

actually my 03 with my exhaust will do 63 stock it did 58 blasters do 56

ya ur right my ex will keep up with a 400ex with an edelbrock carb and dmc complete alien it also has elka piggybacks, my 300 will keep up for awhile but of course the 400 wins but ive never seen a blaster keep up with a 400 for half the race
