Blaster V.S 300ex
The 300EX would beat the blaster off the line if whoever on it knows what there doing. 4-strokes have toquey motors and 2-strokes have top end. A Blaster goes only 2 mph faster than the 250EX, and a 300EX smokes a 250ex. I was drag racing one of my friends stock blasters on sand when i had my 250 and the only reason he won is b/c i didnt have a clutch and i had holeshot mxr's in the back and wouldnt stop spinning. If we would of been on dirt i would have beaten him. I see blasters get torn up on the tracks all the time.high mod blasters at that. A honda is more reliable ne way and their gonna stop the production of 2-strokes around 2007 b/c of the emmisions deal. The 300EX is a lot better than the blaster. I dont know where some of you guys think a blaster would "kill" a 300ex 4-stroke of the line.

I think a blaster will beat the 300ex off the line. I have not driven a 300ex but I have driven a Blaster and a 400ex and it seems like the blaster will beat the 400ex off the line so it will definately beat the 300ex off the line. I have no facts, just a hypothesis. The way I see it, the blaster will beat the 400ex on take off, but while still in first, the 400ex will pass the blaster. The take off on the 400ex is quick enough to just stay with the blaster on take off and then pass it while still in first because of the large powerband on the wide ratio 5-speed compared to the blaster's close ratio 6-speed.

this has probobly litterally been asked id say 300 times in the past year. on a course, the honda will win, on a straight line (drag race) the blaster will win, it will beat it by about 1 quad length in 100 yards. the honda is better though, with jumping, turning/cornering etc, and is a hell of a lot more reliable.
