400ex clutch

Default 400ex clutch

why is my clutch so hard to pull, i got a $50 clutch lever, and its SO hard to pull in, sometimes i can't get it all the way. it has the stock clucth springs, please help!!

it can be a number of things, from the cable to the spring to just the wrong type of clutch


go ask ur dealer you bought the cable from or go to ur dealer where you bought the quad from

i rplaced the cable on my old warrior and it was like having a new clutch again. maybe that is all it is. a cable is the cheapest thinng anyway.

I agree. For $12 you can replace your cable. Most likely that is it.

well it has broken 3 cables seice July, so i replaced the lever with one of those unbrakeable one's and a cable, but this cable i got when i bought it and the guy said his friend gave it to him and it was messed up it didn't look messed up so i took it. i guess i will replace it.
NotuRaptor- where do you get them for $12??

i don't think it's your clutch so i'd try a cable

Use a Honda CR250 clutch leaver and pearch. (That is what a easy pull clutch is).

Your local Honda dealer should have them for around $13 since list price is $12.78.

my local honda shop sell them for $22!! got one at dunefest for $15
