Should I sell my 250R?

gas/oil mix, if you dont have to fix anything before the ride...you definately will have to fix something after....i have to buy a new carb and get new rings right now...my carb is all messed up and i keep fouling plugs...what is a good brand replacement carb?

your carb is more than likely ok and just needs a rebuild. fresh top end and bore should send you in the right direction to a good life. fouling plugs could be a lot of things. these things are minor quarks, but if they really do bug you, maybe you should get a 450R. when we are talking about 250R's, reliability isnt a problem. those small problems will come with anything that is coming up on its 20th bday and the R definitely isnt an exception, but they arent major problems and are easily fixable. these high compression 4 strokes arent going to be much more reliable, but they are NEW.

The 450's will be around for a long time so you can always get one later. Why don't you go through the 250R and bring it back to prime condition? Don't sell it, it's worth more to you than anyone will pay anyhow. The R's are great quads, I'm not selling mine....

Keep the R i read a while ago in an old dirt wheels mag that it is the quad of the century u dont see any other quad getting that award and even more reason to keep it because of the sentimental value too. like power slider said the 450R will be common after a few years and the R will be even more rare so keep the R
