Default 400ex Not Charging HELP!!!

Latley my battery has been dying and i figured it needed a new one. Tested it today and it came out 12.5V with the quad off and when you start the quad it goes down to 11V!!! Tryed my friends 03 400ex and it was 12.4Voff and 14.5V when it was running. I switched him regulators and still nothing. Is my stator gone?

if it's not the exhaust, you got to check the head lights.

What does ur exhaust pipe have to do with your charging system? My lights don't have anything to do with it because the quad isn't charging the battery to power the lights. I'm asking people who know what there talkin bout if they have ever had charging system problems.

check to see if you're getting power from your stator and check all your wiring, if its not that, it might be your tires, if it is your tires, replace the air with pudding, preferably chocolate, this is no place to skimp on cost, use pudding from a reputable manufacturer, preferably "snackpack".

I figured it out. 2 of the male connectors on the regulator ripped off inside the plug. I'm ordering a new regulator from service honda but does anyone know where i can get another plug. did they change the regulator at all between the different years?
