450 covers the Matrix
pleasure,
It has an interview w/ some high up Honda guy, who claims a bunch of parts were derived fromt he 250R, the redesigned the motor from the 450, he said that he knows of no parts off either a 250R or a 400ex that they used. He said the carb is like the one on a XR650, offers as good of performance as a FCR, but there is a safety issue w/ using a FCR from the factory ( they didn't really go into it, I am sure it has to do w/ some kind of TPS). He claims the difference is minimal. He talked about he suspensionbeing all new, which is funny, because the pictures of the new quad, all have 400ex suspension, front and rear, minus the shocks. Even the shocks are not the production units. The suspension is the reasson the first ones are coming out in January instead of Dec. It was cool though, he talked about how much support they are going to be giving racing.

450 covers the Matrix
I agree. It is a very good article and an ultra cool cover/ way to view the new Honda. I was very pleased that they were the first to actually have words from someone at Honda and not just a pretty way of printing up the specs that anyone can see on the Honda web site. I think ATV Sport is far superior to all other magazines. Their shootouts are not biased and they have really good and interesting tips in there "Technically" section.
