Is Honda making a new racer to keep up with the Raptor? I sure hope so! I've heard something about a 650ex, with a style like the 400ex's, but i'm not for sure. If they do, It'll probably not come out for another couple years or so! They really like to test things out don't they! Give me your coments and things you've hear please.

I've heard the same thing you have, honda will make like a 600ex in a couple of years from now, that's what I heard.

I say fine if they do come out with a 650 Lummox. I think these obese thumpers are just a fad like the platform shoes, and the yuppie SUV's. They will die off after a couple years, after a few no talent, no brained shmucks buy 'em, then has it land on their squishy mellon.

Why don't they see we need lightweight, nimble quads with decent power. Not tippy, high centered, heavy nosed slugs that go fast in a straight line, but can't even pull the front wheels up to skip a log, puddle, or rut...

if honda start now and worked real hard they could have a 600 or 650ex. all the have to do is take the 400ex frame and improve the xr600r or xr650r

If it has reverse, then it is not a racer. If it has an electric start, then it is not a racer. If it is overly heavy, then it is not a racer. Just my opinoins. The above mentioned items would put it in the sport catagory.

Electric start is here to stay. Although the 400ex gains 17lbs due to the magic button, KTM's new electric start bikes add only 7lbs. They use a re-start battery that is much smaller. you use the kick start most of the time and the button when you stall it. Great idea HONDA, try it.
By the way, wanna build the ultimate quad? Don't know what to do with your lottery winnings? Get a KTM 520 engine and stuff it into a Roll frame. That bike is insane. The perfect quad powerband. Much more powerful than a 426. Name your price KTM. Dump that Husaberg c**p and build it.
Until then I'm gonna ride my 42hp non-racer till my battery goes dead. hehe!
