Well if it was giving bad publicity it wouldent have said it was beating 250 r's unoless your talking about the suzuki ones... either way 250 ex is proven to beat it... I would get a 250 ex also beacuase they are beasts fort wheelieing...

as for a 250ex being a beast at wheelieing, my 300ex will wheelie better

 

I figure it they were giving the 250EX publicity and not worrying about knocking down the 250R since it isn't in production anymore. And I don't see how you can say it has been proven that a 250EX will beat a Z250. Like 10 people have said a Z250 will beat a 250EX, and I have only seen 4 people say it the other way around. And DW is contridicting themselves. When they did their first test on the Z250 they said it went 54mph. When they did the 250 shootout, they said the 250EX went around 51 or 52mph, and the Z250 just barely hit 50. I have clocked mine at 55mph bone stock using a GPS and having my uncle run along side me on his Grizzly.
Also in what issue was the Project 250EX?

 

i dought a z250 has the same top speed as a 300ex at 55. Anyway, why bother about seeing which one is faster. Its probably like the mojave and 300ex, depending on the rider.

I really don't think the 250EX or the Z250 has a chance against any 250cc 2 stroke! Honda or Suzuki.

 

Well all i know is a stock 250ex has a top speed of 52 miles an hour and a stock Z250 has a top speed of 54 miles an hour the results are clear. And a Blaster has a stock top speed of about 57 but that doesn't matter cuz my little power-valved, liquid cooled KDX will eat them all [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

A 250 EX is faster than a z400....there has been many test besides Dirtwheels test and the EX has always come
out on top..... ALSO i found many more aftermarket products for the EX than the Z

 

Umm dude, what have you been smoking??? I 250EX cannot beat a Z400. And people, quit going by what the magazines have said. I have proven for myself that a Z250 can beat a Z250. If I can figure out how, I'll videotape a race between a 250EX and Z250 and put it on here.
