Is there any solid evidence that Big Red is indeed developing a new Sportrax with a 650 in it?

 

There is no solid evidence that I know of. But if they do, I think they should use the XR650R dirtbike engine. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

Honda needs to do somethin because they dont have much variety in the sprot quad section to choose from

 

i wish they would theyd have competition with the rappy and ds and all the other top 600 and up quads haha

 

With Honda winning the recent Baja 1000 with a 650 Rincon, and with the 660cc Raptor being the hottest selling sport quad now, Honda just might see $$$ in bringing a 650cc sport quad to market. I'd say within 2 years we may see a 650EX...highly doubt it will be a 650R, as the physical characteristics of an engine of that size and weight dont lend themselves to a 'racing' style quad.

 

I just thought I'd heard somewhere, I can't remember where, that in addition to the 450R, they will also introduce as well a more easy-to-ride 450EX and also a 650EX. I just wondered if anyone else heard this rumor and could shed some light on it.

 

according to dirtwheels, they have undercover spies scoping out what honda is up to, so far, they reported them cramming XR650 engines in a quad chassis, just experimenting with engines out of dirtbikes and in quad chassis, so yes, there should be a new 650 quad in the near future, id give them a couple years and it should be out if it does come out.

 

I wish Honda wouldn't be so secretive. I would personally prefer a 650EX for desert riding, over the 450R, and I would gladly wait another year for one.

 

650ex would be awesome, I hope that Honda wakes up and makes one. I love the 450r, but hate the detuning. I just hope they don't detune the 650ex/r too much.
