If you cut the end off the snorkle you WILL have to change the main jet. I went to a 110.

 

Hey guys, I got a few questions about recons and mods.

1. Has anyone put a lift kit on a recon?
2. Or what about a larger rear shock?
3. And also what is the largest tires you have put on a recon?
4. What about gearing the transmission lower (mostly 1st gear) when using larger tires?

I would say if you are wanting a lift kit, bigger tires, and a lower geared tranny; then maybe you should be thinking about a bigger quad. The Recon is what it is,and outside of pipe/jet/tires- there isn't alot more to do with them. Just my 2 cents. the mods i have work great on the supertrapp exhaust u can take the complete core out to really increase flow also take the airbox lid completly off then when u go muddin just put it back on and rejet

my brother and i both used to have some bad ace recons. i made mine into a sport quad including 400ex front bumper and alot of performance parts and my brother made a lift kit and dual wheel kit for his.
we had clutch kits, mine was bored to the max with wiseco piston. it was ported. stiffer valve springs. pipe, jetkit. all kinds of stuff. some picks are on the webpage.
