Hello,
I did a similar post on the same auction. Someone said they already contacted Ebay.

Default Ebay Scam

These scams are very common on ebay! The telltale signs are restricted bidding. You have to email them first before you are capable of billing. These guys are usually located in Italy or some other nation. They must be pretty succesful because there are a ton out there. Ebay is getting better about catching them & pulling the auction. That is when the item just disappears & says this item may no longer be for sale. That is Ebay pulling them. I emailed this guy back & forth from Italy about a 03 400ex & a 03 banshee he had for $2000 each including free shipping. It was bogus but I kept emailing him back saying I didn't feel comfortable doing western union. That I had a friend in Italy & I would just give him the cash to pay upon looking at the bikes. His reply was you don't trust me? My reply was HELL NO YOU FU**ER! So keep a watch oput for these scams. Most will involve payment thru Western Union. They also won't usally have a city listed or the city won't match the State!

Default Ebay Scam

pizza 914's absolutely right. Before I was familiar with the usual in's & out's of fraudulent sellers, I went to eBay and about had a heart attack from seeing kick-*** prices. We're talking Rincons, Grizzlies and Prairies for $1500-$3000 with free shipping. I immediately sent e-mails to about 10 different sellers. For some reason, they all lived in a country in Europe and wanted quick payment through WesternUnion money transfer. I hesitated and looked at some more secure options like escrow or COD. Well wadda ya know, none of them accepted these payment methods. After a little more research, I realized that almost all fraudulent ads are the same. They want a fast wire transfer through WesternUnion and they supposedly live out of the country, when in reality, they probably just live right down the street from you. Also be aware of fake tracking information and the smarter ones seem to have a habit of sending you e-mails supposedly from eBay to persuade you that they are legit sellers. Immediately forward these e-mails to spoof@ebay.com and I garauntee 99.9% of the time they are not from eBay at all. I too had someone in a "location" at which I could send a friend to check out the quad and assure me that it was there. When I told the seller this, the e-mails mysteriously stopped. Nowadays it's almost fun to negotiate a deal with a seller and try to get them to make an honest transaction. It will never work and if you finally get to a point where they've used up all their excuses on why they cannot use escrow or another safe payment method, they just kinda disappear. What's even more fun is when they finally ask you the question like "Look, are you gonna buy the quad or not?" You reply just like pizza 914 did!
