what is the best octane to use with a stock atv is 93 a waste

On utility machines use what the owners manual specifies if everything is still stock. Usually 87-89 octane. Anything above that is throwing money away.

87 is just fine. 2 strokes do like a bit higher though..

i run my suzuki on 89 octaine and it seems to give it a little bit more power but i dont think it really matters that much

Use the recommended octane. If it pings, before you spend money on higher octane gas, change brands.

I have noticed that when it gets over 90 degrees, my aircooled engines have a tendency to ping if I don't go up one notch in octane.
