IMO, $2,200 is too high for a 10 year old quad that sold for 50% more than that NEW back in the day. But, on the other hand, you are talking about the most reliable and bulletproof quad too ever sit on a showroom floor.

Yeah they are tanks. I know a farmer down the road who is on the older side and has had his for about 7-8yrs...never does much maintenence.

bullet proof isnt even the wrd for the 300... my neighbor totally beats his about as much as you can beat a quad and he has had it for 6 years now and nothing has gone wrong with it. he punches the throttle then kicks it in 1st and he can ride a wheelie for almost 10 feet until his engine maxes out. just a word to the wise dont by a green 1996 HOnda 300 from around the Fondulac area. If you check prices on a '97 300 4x4 I think you'll find that $2200 is a VERY fair price for a machine that's in good shape. The 4x4 option alone kicks the value up considerably in my opinion. I like my '95. I don't think it was taken the best care of in the past but it's still reliable and starts every time.

If the original tires are in the shape you say they are, and were on the machine since it was first purchased, you could very well have yourself a new quad....i doubt that anything out there now is as reliable....and they stopped making them in 2000...i think of Honda still made them, they would sell great.

Yea I also feel that the 300 Honda is the most reliable qaud ever made period. Runner up would be the Bayou 300 they are very tough as well. You got an excellent deal on that machine if it is mechanically sound.
