Default What air filter to use??

hey I have a 2001 Honda Recon and I was considering gettign a new air filter. What will I gain from a new filter? What filters are the best? And is it worth spending over $40 for an air filter or will the basic Moose, TwinAir ones do fine? Any other info you can give me would be great. Thanks

I've used K&N and UNI and i like the uni for dusty conditions and all around use. The K&N flows better but it lets some fine dust go into the engine

I have a K&N and an UNI and I like the K&N because of the higher air flow. If you put an outerwear on the filter and maintain it properly you shouldn't have any problems
