please HELP 250r shifter spindle
#1
hey i have to replace the shifer spindle on my 250r I think i just remove the right engine cover where the clutch is I think i also need the return spring thrust washer and circlip. On riva racing.com the price for all these components is about 75.00 is there any place that sells them cheaper? The shifter seal is leaking oil because there is so much play in the shifter shaft. Has anyone else done this job before I am a good wrench and my dad is a master mechanic ARe there any speacil tools that ill need i have many pullers and that type of stuff. THank you for your help eather reply to this thread or send me a private message. I have had the bike for about a month now and have only read it for a half hour but in that half hour i made it worth it This is one of the fastest bikes ive ridden.

To take the shift shaft off you'll need to pull the right cover off. Then you'll need to take out the clutch basket and slide the shaft out. Pretty simple job. Only tools youll really need are your 8mm socket for the cover 10mm socket for the spring bolts, 1 1/16 (whatever the hell that is in metric...) for the basket nut and your set.

Try www.planethondaracing.com They beat riva on prices on just about everything. i think for your parts it will be about $60. Hope this helps.
