umm guys, we have a problem with the raptor....

I personally believe that the biggest advantage for the Raptor over the 400EX is REVERSE! i personally know of five people, myself included who chose to by-pass buying an 'EX cause it didn't have reverse.
With all the mods and the ture speed of the EX there is no need of having a 650CC engine. REVERSE is the key.

this is my point of view from a ignorant 15 year old that doenst have my own fort knox.
WHy the hell do they just keep making some huge engines. Any body can. I think the raptor and all this huge crapt is for a bunch of rich AZZes that dont know how to work on thier quad so they just buy the biggest becasue they think its the best and they cant work on thier bikes.WHy is yamaha such a wuss about builing quads. of course 650 is going to beat a 400. it just pisses me of that ppl dont need to know how to ride any more to be the best it just who has the most money.

chris, a copy of a polaris??????
okay, that's a first. Polaris makes a poor excuse for a sport quad. Honda on the other hand, make a sport quad. Auto tranny, floor boards, single lever brake. Wow, i don't see any of that on my 400ex. Hum. I wonder why, maybe it's cuz the Honda is a true sports quad, and the polaris is a "wanna be" sports quad!

I promised myself I wouldn't lower myself to all your guys whining and bit**ing standards, but here I am. All I can say is that we should consider the Raptor and 400ex in 2 COMPLETELY different categories. The type of person who buys a 400ex might not be interested in a 660cc quad. I personally think that a lot of people jumped on the 400ex bandwagon when it came out cause it was the "best" quad in years. Just seems to be a lot of bandwagon jumping right now. Nothing wrong wiht it. It's human nature to want to be the fastest and have the baddest toy to brag to your buddies about. I don't think it should matter whether you have a stock DS650 or a $12,000 invested 400ex as long as you are happy with it. On that note I started to build my 96 300ex to be able to keep up with a stock or mildly modded 400ex and I can without making myself broke. I would think that a modified 440ex will probably run with a 660, maybe not smoke it, but run with it anyways. Thanks for listening to me bicker, Now all go to bed without any supper!!!
