What does no cover on air filter give you?

Default What does no cover on air filter give you?

If you have a k&n filter on it? Can it do any damage??

Default What does no cover on air filter give you?

if you get an outerwear, rejet your carb and keep your filter clean and oiled you wont have any problems. now if y dont oil your filter, rejet your carb and get a outerwear you will be running lean and letting dirt in through the filter.

With all the dust we have in the desert, I prefer to VENT my airbox lid, rather than run with no lid at all. In Minnesota, I would presume you have a lot of water and mud, so that may be a consideration also. I installed a bunch of those filtered 1" round vents from White Bros./Uni. At least the filters give some degree of added protection.
