well i am building either a 416 or a 426 ex. its goign to have a stage 2 hot cam with 11:1 compression. now how much more HP with the 426 have over the 416? the only reason i don't want to go with the 426 is becasut the cylinder walls are bored to the max. and maybe melt down. also which one is more reliable? and the head is going to get poarted and i think heavy dutty gasket kit.

 

Go with the 416. The H.P. depends on what parts you use. You can have a 416 that is faster than a 440. For example Curtis Sparks makes a 416 kit that can beat most 440's out there. I have a 440 13 to 1 with porting and a 2mm stroked crank. If I could do it again I would build my bike to a 416.
