Is it true that you can blown your engine up with a KN filter during the winter? People here says it can freeze and jam the engine since there is no more air.

I don't really trust that since a lack of air would only create a rich condition (Am i right?) and people are stupid around here (sorry but I live in the middle of nowhere with lumberjack

Im not positive but i don't think it's not very possible to blow your engine because it's not getting air. If your engines not getting air. It will be boggy and die very easy but you wont blow your engine.

Without oxygen your engine will not fire. Don't see how it could blow. Maybe write a letter to mythbusters about that one.

That's what I tought HondaNutCase. But face the reality, I live with lumberjack who wonder what is university . Don't try to explain them the combustion phenomenon. They don't care about oxygen or anything else. KN FILTER + WINTER ====> Engine blow up (They don't fuc*ing know why they say that)

It won't blow, if anything it won't get enough air and will run Rich, which will not harm your engine, running lean will get it mean!!!

Your K&N will be fine as long as its dry. I've left mine in for the last 4 winters and never had a problem. This year the bike will be parked more, I just bought a sled. Thank God, calling for 20cm and high winds tomorrow.

I don't think it would matter with the Oklahoma winter.
