well I asked the dealership with whom I've already given a deposit for a quote and they told me that I'm looking at around $7500 OTD for the new 450r!!! Looks like I'm taking my deposit back and going to LA Honda. They offered me $6799 OTD and will hold one with my credit card number. I don't even have to drive up there to give a deposit. I mean for the 700 bucks I'm saving going to LA I can buy the HRC kit and paddles with wheels plus have a little left over.

If ya'll are so worried about the price (and yes some of those prices listed above are too much), just wait till they sell a few, look around for a used one that was bought to be resold and snag it! Im guessing on a resale, you can get one anywhere from $6100-$6400 OTT(On The Truck, lol), I think i might give my local dealer a call tomorrow to see how they are, compare prices, etc.

I had mentioned earlier that I found a place (LA Honda) willing to quote me 6799 OTD on the 450r when they arive. So I went back to my local dealer where I had 200 bucks down and told them that unless they could come near that then I wanted my money back. They told me that LA Honda lies to people all the time and that when I drive up there they will try and charge me more. They also told me that 7500 OTD was what they were willing to take. Anyway, for a 700 dollar diff I'm going to ignore what they said and go up north.

WHen you put your money down the salesperson will (should) give you a receipt for the total price you are paying OTD fo rthe quad. If the salesperson just puts down the price of the quad, insist on everything else wrote down. This keeps you from getting screwed down the road. Do not pay above retail for any quad. If you buy it today and take it back too the dealer tomorrow you will loose at least 2k.
