Rincon only has 16 HP!

The Warrior is 18.3 hp (ATV Sport 2002 Buyers Guide) and that has a top speed around 61 mph.
It can't be the Recon because the similar 250ex is 11.9 hp. The Blaster is 13.9 hp. 400ex 26.5 hp.
Raptor is 34.3 hp. Seems like the Rincon would be at least with-in the higher 20's.

That site has the Prairie 700 at 30hp and the Grizz 660 at around 27 hp. If the Rincon is really only 16 hp then Honda does 5uck. I wish they'd stop listening to their lawyers and start listening to their customers. The site has the Foreman 450 at around 12 hp.

What's all this horsepower talk? The dynos really measure the torque and the horsepower is an equation after that. hp=Torque x RPM / 5252
Well weather or not the Rincon is using horsepower or torque to get moving, we know it has to be way higher than 16hp or 16ft-lbs. Because they can keep up and outrun the mighty P650 with it's 30-35hp and torque ratings. They weigh the same, so weight isn't really that much of a factor there. There is still alot of untapped power potential in the rincon by just advancing the timing...

I think you are confused.... Honda does not suck. They have a quad thay only has 16 HP that will hang with a 41HP P650 and they do not even need a belt to do it. They is pretty impressive.

No way the rincon only has 16 hp. id say more like 35 hp. My prairie has 42 hp and the rincon isnt far behind. the only thing i think that holds the rincon back is its tranny. Other than that its an awsome quad. my .02

A while back in one of the four-wheeler magazines they posted how much the big bores made at the rear wheels. The prairie made around 31-32hp, the SP700 at 30hp and the Grizzly at 29 or 30hp. When this magazine came out the Rincon hadn't been released yet. I can't remember how much the Quest 650 made. I think the magazine was ATV magazine but I'm not positive.
