I want to build a pair of skis for my '03 400ex. I have a couple ideas but some imput from someone who has done it before, has seen it, or just has an idea. I want to make em' out of plastic skis that will bolt right up to where my rim would go. So if you have any tips, suggestions, or ideas. Please share it with the rest of us.

 

Unless you have a track kit on the back skis will probalbly slow you down . A set of dune fronts are a better idea. We tried putting skis on our 3 wheelers years ago but was not better than a good tire. What do you plan on doing with them anyway. Open field or trail riding ,deep snow.?

I knwo a guy who has skis on his ex and they work well. My friend also has them on his ds650. They probably wouldn't be hard to make. I may purchase some after i save up for my 416 kit

The mounts on his ds won't bolt up to a 400ex because to stop the skis from moving forward and back he has a bar going to his fender mount. Does anyone have any suggestions how to adapt this, i was thinkin mabey bolting it where the caliper goes on so it doesn't turn?
