300ex exhaust
#2
I just put a Supertrapp IDS2 on my 300 last Monday, got to ride it yesterday morning. In my opinion this pipe is a great mod for your ride. I've only run it with 12 discs(top end) so far. It pulls the top end of the gears nice, especially 4th and 5th. It felt a little weak at lower rpm's. With 12 discs the bike was more responsive when you kept the rpm's up. I'm gonna drop down 4 dics and see what happens. I went up one jet size, to a 125, on the main. It needs to go up one maybe two more to richen it up. I'm running a K&N filter with the lid on. I have the quiet series model, but the cores are interchangable. I think you can pick up extra cores for around $50/60. It also comes with a headerpipe. Don't know anything about WB's, I do know about DG's, gobs of low end and real loud. Hopes this helps, Mike.

Get one from Powerrolls it is cheaper and works. Now for the money headers only give you about 1 to 2 horsepower for $150.00 to 350.00. A 10 to 1 pistion will make a lot bigger gain for under $150.00 It is easy to do. Get a book 4 hours and you are runing.

I might be able to help with jetting. I run a DG RCM series (you know the loud one!)and a K&N filter with stock cover. I started with a 125 main and the plug was still a little white so I decided to go to what I thought would be too rich and put in a 130, read the plug and go leaner from there. Well it turns out the 130 burns perfect! I also ride at an altitude of about 1000 feet.
