Okay you did that math now do the power to weight ratio. My recon is 406lbs with 12-14 hp i think the foreman over 520lbs with not alot more power. so do that math!

The more weight on the tires pushes them down which make it harder to turn them over. i can get 45mph and with 2 people on i can only get like 35mph.

 

gd canadians, do you all speak english over there?120 lbs doesnt take that much from 200cc. when i got two people on my quad it makes about 3,4 mph different.

 

I owned a recon for 4 years, and rode a foreman 400 a few times. The recon is definitely quicker on acceleration, at least through the first couple gears. It's a faster revving engine and a lighter machine, how hard is it to believe that it has better acceleration?

 

i have a rancher 350 and my friends has a 06 recon..
well.. we have ran nexto to each other.. and the recon can keep up <u>for the most part</u> ... but if i give ti full throttle hes left behind in the dust [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]...
the recon has no where the power of a foreman nor rancher.. my friend has a foreman 400.. and i can keep up with him great.. we are the same basically.. the recon is no match..

then onto torque/power....nvm.. i wont go there [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img].. hah

 

like i said earyer the recon would win a short race foreman on a long race you can have a all the power in the world but with more power you gain more weight and the gearing changes. Gota remmber more power is not always more speed depends how its geared Look at tractors they have tons of power but their geared low.

 

Try a 500 foreman in 2 wheel or 4 wheel and you will change your mind aboat the recon...I have riden a few recons and they don't even come close...
