Yeah I have a 1998 Honda Recon and I hit a tree.
And now my bike does not turn right, when I put the bars strait she just goes all over the place and nothing is broken.
What should I do??????
Any help is great

Sounds like you either bent a tye rod or snaped a ball joint.

With the quad on level ground, Grab the front and back of one front tire. Now wigle it side to side to see where the play is. There should be no play,

Play- =ball joint
No play- =bent tye rod.

And the tye rods should both be straight. If one is bent replace it and re-aline the front end. Check ball joints for play.

When you adjust the tie-rods go toe out. The Recon already turns very quickly. If you go neutral or toe in, then it will turn even faster but may feel tippy or unstable when turning at high speeds.

I adjusted my Rancher, with the string method. I had hit a few stumps while riding & was out of alignment. I adjusted both tires down to 1/8 of an inch, yes the Rancher does turn really quick now, but I don't like it. I am going to adjust them back out to 3/8 of an inch.

Hey snowshark... we went riding this weekend in a lot of sand. How much air should I have in my Recon tires to prevent bump-steering and also have good tracking in the sand and going uphill?

Covert,

Try 6 pounds of air pressure in the tires. This really helps when trail riding.
