He really disappointed me.He is now riding a yamaha yfz450.I liked the 250r but to be honest i wish he would have stuck with the z400.In the Kentuky race he finished 11th or so and like 3,4th in the ohio(i think)race.Does anyone know why he went to a Yamaha.Im starting to like William Yokely now.

I heard that they are not allowed to run 2 strokes in the pro class anymore, which I dont think is right. But when I was @ the Ironman GNCC I walked around the pits & almost all of the pro 2stroke quads had for sale signs on them.

Ballance, from what I understand, is a privateer. Which means he can ride whatever machine is the best, or whichever machine his sponsors want to showcase their products for. Winning is the bottome line, I can promise you that he is riding the 450 because it is the machine the sponsors want him on, and he wants to be on.

Was it he or Doug Gust that had so many problems on the Z400 this past season? I think it was Gust.
Regardless, IF I were a racer and of his caliber, I'd want the machine that offers the most advantages. And, I would think at this point, that machine is the YFZ450. The TRX450R may change that once it is really available, but honestly I think those two machines are going to be so close in terms of performance it won't matter anyway.
