Sorry to hear that. It's ok though...wait maybe not. Your maxed out at 12" of ground clearance because of the off-center rear differential. You will have to get used to the boiling gas so when it stalls in every puddle you gotta let it sit for a sec you should get used to that. And you will be buying a new CV joint once every other month, but hell that's regular maintinance on a grizz. Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes.

Boy, yfz450istheshiznit, you sure hit a sore spot with Yellow650Rincon...why did you take that so hard Yellow650Rincon? Fortunately I haven't had any of those problems you listed, but it sounds, with your Grizzly expertise, like I will soon.
Hmmm...had my Grizzly for about 32 months now, that would make 16 new CV joints by now by your expert calculations, right? Zero failures here.

Sorry, the truth hurts sometimes....doesn't it though?

Consider yourself lucky then. I have nothing serious about the Grizzly, I have just heard TONS of stories about it's failures. And I can proove it. But that's my opinion, take it or leave it.

If you have read much about the rincon then you know not to judge its power from a test ride. I have 360 miles on mine and its getting stronger every ride. It is the best riding machine I have ever been on for trailriding here in FL and It WILL pull in the mud at least mine will!! I love it and would buy another tommorow if I had the $$

Yes, I have HEARD. Are you calling the loyal owners of these grizzlys liars?

I don't have the opportunity to see one break, because no one around here owns one.

Why? Was the Rincon too powerful for your likes?

Nlafu, To get back to your question. I ride the same things you will ride. Ive been researching since this past summer about which one to buy. I have read hundreds, if not thousands of these threads. I had it narrowed down to two. Grizzly and rincon. Saturday im going to the dealer to get me a Rincon. I think they are both great quads. I dont think you will be dissapointed with either one. Its hard to get an honest opinion sometimes. Honda guys tell you to get the rincon, yamaha guys say get the grizzly. Here is what I think.

pros for rincon cons

Honda reliability no low gear
Awesome tranny costs a little more
plenty of power no locking front differential
The best suspension doesnt come with a hitch (sells separate for some reason)
best looking

Pros for grizzly cons

plenty of power belt tranny
good suspension past problems w/ boiling gas
locking front diff not reliable as honda
low gear
costs less

Type in rincon or grizzly in the search box in the honda thread then the yamaha thread. lots of good info. Good luck.

Thanks for your thoughts, I am leaning towards the Rincon! Just worried about the "so-called" lack of low end power. I plan on installing ITP wheels and mud lite tires and want to be able to turn them over! Probably a dumb concern, but some of the "threads" really claim a lack of low end power!
