250R Sleeper?
#12
Actually the bike has a red tank and hood, but it has a blue seat. I also have a set of rear plastics that have had the left rear fender stitched back on. I hate to ride the ugliest quad in the group, but it shure is cheaper. The current front fenders have been trimmed. At first I had thought restore it, but now this sounds kinda fun.

You could go even more sleeper with a reworked stock head and a ported stock reed cage with boyseen reeds. Also, the carbs of the CR500's are a little over 38mm and look almost like a stocker carb, just a tad larger.

Thanks everyone for replying. I don't really want to trash my wheeler to make a sleeper. I like the idea of a nice looking stock bike that really runs. Either way, maybe the look will catch on. Keep the ideas coming. Also, what kind of power do you think I could get from porting and still use the stock pipe. Nothing says slow like factory exhaust, plus they don't burn the PI$$ out of your legs.

The TRX-11 pipe does perform close to the CT whale pipe. I will tell you that my wife's R with the 11 pipe and stock ported jug bored .060 over ran a 5.34 in 300ft on the stock swingarm no wheelie bars. Just sat forward, leaned forward and let it rip. That was also with a lectron 36mm carb and an open element at the time. Nothing more special than that. You can make them go for sure. If you want a jug to really rip them you need to go up with the compression and run good fuel, and make sure the jug is race ported and that a good reputable person does it. You wont be disappointed.
