My Honda dealer in Mechanicsburg,Pa. sponsored a bus trip to the International Motorcycle Show in Washington DC yesterday.My buddy and I, who have deposits on450Rs, took a chance that we might at least see what we have been waitng for so long and joined a busload of two wheeler guys(ugh!) for the trip.Once inside the convention center our hearts dropped.Street bikes all over the place!Well ,duh,we kinda thought so ,but wait,over there,a quad,two or three more quads,THERE IT IS !!!!YES !! the 450R in person,right next to the quad that won the Baja 1000.Guys and girls this thing is trim.Looks smallish,looks light and uncluttered.All business.I see new bumpers,nerfs.handlebars,skid plates,a good exhaust system and the hop up kit for starters.Once it's broken in we shall see what we need to do to maintain a good woods rider.It looks like it will want to go through our Pennsylvania trails with ease.It just looks like it wants to go play in the dirt .I am impressed. My 250r and my 400EX showed me Honda dependability and I'm sure the 450R will do the same or better.I don't like the wait but I feel it was worth it.Thanks to Honda Moto Sports I slept well last night.Now lets get those bikes out to us!!!
