I really dont know much about valve adjusting. This web site takes you through it. If you are going to do it yourself I would recommend having a service manual handy they will go into it in a little more detail. http://www.exriders.com/techarticles/valves.html. Sorry I couldnt be more help.

I haven't actually done myself either - but I can confirm that the service manual goes into this in depth. Worth picking one up.

All you need. It's nice to have a manual, but if your worried about valve adjustment I don't think your the kind of person that needs a manual. This link above is a ton of help and all you need for the valve adjustment.

easy as pie. I'm 16 and i can do it. Just make sure your crank is turned to the correct position or your screw up the gap. If your not mechanically inclined or don't have a service manual. Ask someone for some help.
