Default Need all ur advice..

Hello, this is Rob's friend posting, well I'm thinking of getting an ATV..well the problem is I never really owned a quad, only road my friends. My dad is finally letting my buy a bike, but only have $4,150.00..I want a quad that is fun to mess around out, but is pretty fast, I'm thinkin a used 400ex with some mods? tell meh wut you guys think..later

for around 4 grand you can still get a nice quad. what type of riding do you do?

well, like i said i dont have a quad, but when i ride, its trail and snow, alot of snow here in ohio..

I would go w/ a 400ex if you want a low maintenence starter bike. However, if you want to deal w/ a 2 stroke there are alot more options in that price range. Banshee, Warrior, even a 250r. Sorry they're mostly Yamaha's but you have a budget to uphold. Hope no ones offended.

Thanks, its all about how much money you want to put into them!!

I think for a trails bike you should probably lean towards a 4 stroke. 2 strokes are still really nice, but I think for how you ride/your riding style/your riding needs that a 4 stroke would suite you better. Like everybody else said, a 400ex would be a good bike. Some others to consider would be Dales, Raptors, and KFX's. Those are all good bikes, but I am not really sure what they go for on the used market. Good luck and keep us posted as to what you decide to get.
