300 ex running like sh#t
#1
A buddy of mine removed all of the guts from his pipe on his stock 300 ex. (noise is not a problem on the private land he rides on.) Now it won't idle right at all. When I modded the muffler on my P700 I had to adjust my idle mixture screw a little richer and this helped my bike out alot. Is this his problem also?
If so can you tell me how to do this? Thanks

Hondas ( and a lot of other brands) are jetted lean from the factory to meet emissions, this makes them cold blooded, and by pulling the guts out, you removed restrictions and made it leaner still. You will probably need to go up one size on the pilot jet, and maybe up one on the main to get the top end right.

Dude I don't own a Honda but the fact that you are on the Honda forum talking smack like that shows ignorance! Yes yes we all know that whatever you ride will always be better than anything else.... now p1ss off!

My 300ex can take all. I took out the engine bored it 80 over adn put in an oversized cam....Still wasn't fast enough so i picked up a raptor engine and bored it out to 690cc. and stuck it in my 300ex. Now the competition is no problm.
