You are correct. Did I purchase a Honda thinking I would never have a problem? No.

I just hope that mine, doesn't have many. No one can to expect to abuse, Uh I mean ride the quads the way we do & expect them to last forever.

Also, no matter which brand there is always some lemon in the bunch.

Problems with a rancher? Has anyone had weld problems with their rancher?
I did alot of research and havent heard of any weld problems.. All i have heard was a speed sensor going bad due to the dealer and the whistling (which mine does, but doesnt hurt anything, it actually sounds like its in turbo) i have found that whistling to be coming from the boot on the cv joint (i think).. Well if anyone has problems with their rancher's welds please tell me..

oh yeah, why do you have to talk in caps? grow up.

No problem with the welds on my Rancher, either.

The only problems are the scratches that I put on it!

I have a friend who works at the South carolina plant. I will try to contact him and see if he has heard anything.

HEY RANCHER, THAT WHISTLING SOUND MUST BE THAT AWSOME IN-LINE FILTER YOU SEEM SO PROUD ABOUT. MAYBE SINCE YOU ARE SUCH A SMART *** YOU COULD TELL ME WHAT ME TYPING IN CAPS HAS TO DO WITH ME BEING GROWN UP ??
IT WASNT ME THAT SAID RANCHERS HAD A PROBLEM WITH WELDS IT WAS HONDA...DO YOU REMEMBER THEM WANTING EVERYONE TO BRING THE MACHINES IN TO BE CHECKED ?

I CAN SEE WHY ALOT OF OLDER FORUM MEMBERS ARE LEAVING THIS PLACE, I THINK IT HAS ALOT TO DO WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOURSELF.

How fast we people forget. There was a problem with some of the Ranchers welds namely where the a arm mounts. Remember Phalnx. His broke and they had to replace the frame. There were other postings in here too. I remember reading the postings. I'm not Honda bashing, just saying the facts. Honda did recall them and have the welds checked. These were limited to the first ones built. The point here is they fixed them and admitted the problem. I'm sure if there is a minor problem with the Rubicons, they will do the same. As long as they stand behind there products and fix them, what is the problem. That is what good customer service is.

It's nice to see that Honda has respect for it's customers and pride in its products by recalling it's products if there is a potential problem. Honda does all that it can to ensure that they produce a quality product.

Sportsman500,

Don't leave this forum because of an idiott like Rancher4X4esluvr. You should read his post under spark plugs and backcountry's reply. This will show you what kind of person with which you are dealing. Just ignore him. I am not and older person (30) maybe I am for this forum, but Atvs are my hobby and I enjoy reading these forums. We like to get all the sensible input we can. We just have to ignore the stupidity that comes around quite often.
