Help! Honda 400EX 2003 Electrical Problem
It's not your neutral switch if your headlight doesn't work either. If your battery, terminals, and subframe stuff checks out, I would go to the ignition swich connector(s), and make sure they're plugged in (as well as all the other connectors). Power to the ignition switch from the battery has always been either a red or maybe red\white wire with Honda. Put a test light on that wire and see if you have power. If not, the problem is between the red wire and your main fuse, or a battery connection, as bartlett pointed out. If you do have power at the red wire, you need to inspect the ignition switch. Check for any wires that may have chafed or wore through at the point where the harness has to move, like when you turn your handlebars.
