Rancher vs. Wolverine article

I believe one of the atv magazines recently did a comparison between the Rancher & Wolverine, and I'm interested in any info you have on this comparison.
Specifically which magazine did it, and what month.
Thank you in advance.

dirtwheels did the comparison and it was either 3 or 4 months ago
if u like to just trailride and like alittle mud but like to go fast get the wolverine
if u like to trailride mud get the rancher
i believe the rancher will hold up longer than the wolverine but the wolverine is a great machine but the stock tires on the wolverine are kinda sucky!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the reply.
I purchased a 2000 Wolverine this past spring and was just interested in how the magazine compared the two.
I considered the rancher when I was buying but it didn't fit me as well as the wolverine.

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm not sure I buy that the magazines are influenced by advertising dollars.
It seems that Yamaha spends more on ads in the magazines than Honda (rear cover ads, etc..) yet they still pick Honda.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very satisfied with my wolverine, I was just curious how Yamaha's 5 or 6 year old design matched up against one of Honda's latest designs.

Of course in some way or another everything is affected by money. It's the American way. But I do have to say I agree with sqooze on this one. Honda does little to no advertising in anything I read. Yahama is what is pushed down my throat by the mags. I feel that is a pretty lame excuse that I have seen too many times. What I find funny is that this statement comes from a Polaris owner on a Honda forum and a thread that is comparing a Honda and a Yahama! I dont ever go off saying brand X is the best. Why can't the Polaris owners of the world just relax? To me its like the Windows/Macintosh debate where the Windows users don't really care, but the Mac users preach about how superior they are. Quite frankly I'm getting sick of this.

Greg, your bright aren't you? You obviously didn't read the article, actually both machines won there fair share of categories. If it revolved around speed and race inspired events the wolverine would win. Trail riding, power, quality all went to the rancher, and the overall nod then went to the rancher. Go back to your polaris home, you cannot ad anything intelligent to this conversation.

MuddyRancher,
I read and reply to any topic I want. If you would read that article, the wolverine dominated the comparison. I am not brand bashing. I am not making rude comments to people or telling them where they should or shouldn't post. I thought the mag givimg the nod to the Honda after the Yamaha proved to out perform it showed some level of bias. I don't have a wolverine but I know alot of people that do. It is an extremely reliable bike. I personally find it squirly on turns, but once again that is just my opinion.
I never said Brand X was the best. I wonder why you say I need to relax. Maybe you are the one that needs to relax. Maybe then you will be more tolerable of views other than your own. You come across as narrow minded. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
