Default RUBICON 650

Just had to chuckle at dirt wheels. THIS LATEST ISSUE it took me a second to re think what I had read.
It was in the article about the 2004 grizzly they were yaking about how the grizz compared to others including the RUBICON 650, I really think they meant RINCON. (OR DO THEY KNOW SOMETHING WE DONT KNOW???) Sometimes you gotta wonder if they misprint on purpose, just to make you wonder.

Default RUBICON 650

The article was a nice 3 page or so spread on just the new 04 GRIZZ, they did not do a shootout or a side buy side compare with any other models. They were just stating that the grizz was a great contender in the big bore line with atvs such as the honda 650 RUBICON, etc... but I know they meant the RINCON.

They had great words for the GRIZZ they said " yamaha knows they have a good thing and thats why they dont mess with it buy adding a bunch of bells and whistles"

They were impressed with a new overide for pulling in reverse and they loved the somthing differant about the front locker?????

and also the new side engine covers were great for keeping the engine cooler

they also liked the new ratchet gas cap??????

and some new stuff on the electric display.

the grizz is a fine machine. I sure would have bought one when I got my 02 rubicon. but would you believe when I traded in my vstar 1100 the yamaha place I bought the bike from offered me less of an trade in than the local honda dealer!!!!!!! That is the only reason I ended up with a honda. What id give for 160 more cc, 2wd 4wd select, front locker, IRS,
Oh well. the ruby has been a fine machine, Ive got close to 2000 miles on her now and she hs been a good worker. So really no complaints.
