Hang the back of your bike up so as to get the wheels off the ground and try the axel for lift ie pull one wheel up and down if it moves at all the bearings are toast if not, remove the chain from the sprocket and spin the axel it should feel smoth and silent if not replace the bearings.
Dont continue to run it as if the bearings collapse the carrier and hub can be damaged big $
Order seals at the same time as the bearings as they aint expensive and will keep your new bearings clean and healthy, also pack as much grease as you can in the carrier. it will help keep water away from your new bearings

Thanks, Ill do that. Whats up with those carriers with the grease fitting in the center. Do you
have to yank them out of the swingarm to grease them? How bout the ones with the grease
fitting on the side, seems like a long way for grease to go to get the other side.
I was thinking about getting a taper bearing carrier if my bearings are on the way out.
Thanks!
