Is the 250ex really that bad?

More power to ya . . . personally, I'd be too afraid to ride a 3 wheeler. They were discontinued because they were determined to be too unstable and a rollover danger, weren't they? Even when we went riding weekend before last, a guy in our group had one and every time I looked at him, he was eating the dirt again from flipping the thing. Too scary for me.

I also have to give you a bit of credit for realizing what you said may have been offensive....It is not what you said, but how you said it.
I think you will find that many of the older riders on here get a little ticked when you young pups start to yap about speed and stuff. A lot of the older guys like to putz around the trails and have fun with our families and when a teen-ager flys past us doing a million miles an hour on a quad their dad bought them, it kind of makes us mad.
I am glad to hear that you worked for your quad, it is a good thing to have to work and pay for your own stuff, it teachs responsibility. There is nothing wrong with having your folks buy you stuff either, but working for it makes you understand that stuff does not always come easy. It also forces you to take care of your things.

Yeah, and is it just because I'm old that it drives me crazy when everywhere we go riding all the younger folks are riding their 2-strokes and buggys full blast at 2:00 - 3:00 a.m., and blaring the loud "system of a down" music on their PA systems all night long?? Geez people, how about a little consideration for those of us trying to get some shut-eye? When I've been kept up all night by that sort of thing, I can't even enjoy riding the next day - I'm too beat. I don't understand why they can't park away from where the obvious groups with families are. I know, I'll probably get called an old fogie for this!
