Default 72mph 250x??

Here are just a few facts for you.The 250x was a little lighter than the 300ex due to the kickstarter. The 250x also had a higher rev limit than a 300ex.The 87 model in particular had a higher compression piston,a less restrictive exhaust system and a larger main jet in the carb.Your Wolverine will have its hands full if the kid can ride.

ive ridden a 225 tri-moto, they are pretty quick, but not 60+ by any means. that thing was fun, it could ride some pretty good wheelies too.

i dunno 3 wheelers are quick.....my familys 250sx will beat my 300ex....and iff the 225 is only 25 ccs less it would be close...my fams 250sx does 65-67 and my 300 does 63-65...both stock!

I have a hard time believing that a stock 300ex is going to do 63-65 mph, my buddy gpsd his stock 400ex right at 65 mph (and he is a small guy 5'6" 130lbs), the other guy I ride with gpsd his polaris sport 400L at about 62-63 mph.....and I have seen the 400L totally destroy a 300ex in a race, from the start to the finish.

i believe from what ive heard and what ive experience a wolvy with a pipe and a 1987 250X stock a wolvy is only a couple mphs more than the 250X, And i thought (correct me if im wrong) that the bigger the wheel or tire the slower and smaller geared it is? i thought this because the smaller the wheel the more rotations, like (just making an example, and again correct me) say the circumference of your axle is 3 inches and you tires are 21 inches it takes 7 rotations of the axle for 1 rotation of the tire so wouldnt this make you slower

by the way im 14

CORRECT ME

Default 72mph 250x??

I grew up on a 250sx and i know there is no chance it beat a 300ex i used to get beat repeatedly by a friend who owned a 250x in 1987 when they came out my 250sx was an 85.
The 250sx shares the same motor as the "Big Red" just a little lighter chassis.

if you insist...the taller the tires, the lower the gear ratio, the lower the low end power, the higher the top end speed. for every inch you add of tire size, its like taking one tooth off from your rear sprocket. So, the taller tires will increase your top speed, but it will take your quad longer to get there.
