Hello I am curious on how to boost my octane rating safley. I just read an interesting article on Toulene. It is only 2.50 a gallon and is supposed to be safe and everyone I talked to so far says your over the counter octane booster is bad for your motor but no one could give me a explanation why. I just want a good answer on how to boost my octane ratiing. Is the NOS good stuff and if you add to or three bottles of booster to your gas does it keep going up. Thanks

 

The best/safest way to boost your octane is to buy gas with the octane rating that your engine requires.
It will be consistant and your quad will act the same with it all the time.

 

yes, i would just buy higher octane fuel. many of the additives you can put in actually make the bike run hotter even though they claim to be increasing the octane. also, may of the additives are hard on seals.
